Other towns bordering Lake Winnipesaukee include Center Harbor, Moultonborough, Tuftonboro, Wolfeboro, Alton, and Gilford. We live, work and play in the Lakes Region, so feel free to ask us about things to do, places to dine, the school systems, and the charm each individual town has to offer.

Lake Winnipesaukee is a very popular year-round destination because of its serene beauty and size. It is surrounded by three mountain ranges. The water of Lake Winnipesaukee is spring-fed, and it is the sixth largest lake in the United States that lies within the boundaries of one state.  Upon visiting the lake, it is easy to see why the name "Winnipesaukee" means either "beautiful water in high place," or "smile of the Great Spirit," depending on who you ask.

Waterskiing on Lake WinnipesaukeeLake Winnipesaukee is about 28 miles long, with an average depth of 40 - 45 feet, and a maximum depth of over 200 feet. It's hard to miss the signature New England sight of the bob houses lining the lake.
